A six-run seventh inning sealed a 15-5 win for the California Glory (17-10) over the Salinas Tomahawks (0-24) on Saturday at North Salinas High School.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with seven lead changes.
Matt Vera racked up three RBIs on three hits for the California Glory. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the eighth and ninth innings.
Ryan Heinle struck out 12, paving the way for a the California Glory win. Heinle allowed two earned runs on six hits and five walks over nine innings.
Aaron Love couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Salinas Tomahawks, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
