The Quebec Capitales (58-31) and the New Jersey Jackals (52-38) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Quebec Capitales capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-1 win at Le Stade Municipal.

Josue Peley was hot from the plate for the Quebec Capitales. Peley went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and eighth innings.

The Quebec Capitales relied on Chad Jones to eat up innings en route to the win. Jones pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out five.

Edgard Clemente had a hot bat for the New Jersey Jackals. Clemente went 3-4. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.

Dustin Birosak ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his sixth loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
