The Sioux City Explorers beat the Rockland Boulders (43-41) 10-7 on Tuesday at Lewis _ Clark Park behind Brandon Newton, who drove in three runs.

Even though Richard Salazar allowed six runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory. Salazar struck out three, walked one and gave up 11 hits.
Pat Moran ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked five and struck out seven.
