The New Jersey Jackals defeat the Worcester Tornadoes after late game single, 7-5

The New Jersey Jackals (42-29) and the Worcester Tornadoes (21-50) volleyed the lead four times on Thursday, but the New Jersey Jackals came out on top for a 7-5 win on Thursday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

Francisco Caraballo racked up four RBIs on four hits for the New Jersey Jackals. He doubled in the first and fifth innings and singled in the third and eighth innings.

The Worcester Tornadoes' lineup had no answer for Jeff Gogal. Gogal held the Worcester Tornadoes hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Isaac Pavlik recorded his eighth win for the New Jersey Jackals even though he allowed five runs over seven innings. Pavlik struck out seven, walked two and gave up eight hits.

Matt McDonald was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
