Salotti gives the New Jersey Jackals late push to beat the Rockland Boulders, 6-5

Nick Salotti drove in the winning run to give the New Jersey Jackals (30-24) the lead in the ninth inning, as the New Jersey Jackals hung on to beat the Rockland Boulders (27-27) 6-5 on Sunday.

With the score tied at three in the ninth inning, Salotti came to the plate and homered.

Salotti paced the New Jersey Jackals at the plate. Salotti went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the ninth inning.

Matt Nandin had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

Steve Fox baffled the Rockland Boulders, striking out seven batters. Fox allowed two earned runs on seven hits and no walks over seven innings.

Melvin Falu was solid at the plate for the Rockland Boulders. Falu went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second and seventh innings.

Jeff Gogal recorded his third win of the year for the New Jersey Jackals. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Adrian Martin (4-3) took the loss for the Rockland Boulders. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

Salotti, Nandin and Nick Giarraputo helped lead the New Jersey Jackals. They combined for four hits and four RBIs.
