The Rockland Boulders get on top of the New Jersey Jackals early but can't hang on in 6-4 loss

The Rockland Boulders (20-25) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-4 to the New Jersey Jackals (26-20) on Friday.

An RBI double by Zach Woods gave the New Jersey Jackals the lead in the eighth inning.

Francisco Caraballo had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Ryan Scoma racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Rockland Boulders. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Woods got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Garrett Johnson (1-1) took the loss for the Rockland Boulders. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

The New Jersey Jackals were sparked by Caraballo and Nick Giarraputo, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
