Gelinas struck out two and allowed no walks and five hits.

Five runs in the opening three innings allowed the Quebec Capitales to easily put away the Newark Bears. A three-run home run by Robert Wagner in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Quebec Capitales.

Josue Peley racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Quebec Capitales. He singled in the fourth innings and homered in the sixth inning.

Matt Fitton ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The Quebec Capitales pounded the Newark Bears pitching, as six hitters combined for eight hits, seven RBIs and eight runs scored.
