The Quebec Capitales get 12 strikeouts from Duda in 6-0 win over the Newark Bears

Wednesday was a great day for Jeff Duda, as Duda threw a shutout to carry the Quebec Capitales (31-13) to a 6-0 victory over the Newark Bears (15-31) at Le Stade Municipal.

Duda struck out 12, paving the way for a the Quebec Capitales win. The Quebec Capitales' pitcher gave up just two hits over nine shutout innings.

The Quebec Capitales blew out the Newark Bears thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Quebec Capitales scored three runs in the seventh on an RBI double by Sebastien Boucher and a two-run home run by Josue Peley.

Jonathan Malo put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Quebec Capitales. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the third and seventh innings.

Pedro Rivera was charged with his sixth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out four.
