A walk-off single from Josue Peley brought home the winning run for the Quebec Capitales (29-13) in a 4-3 victory over the Rockland Boulders at Le Stade Municipal on Sunday.
Peley went a perfect 5-5 at the plate for the Quebec Capitales. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third, sixth, and ninth innings.
Karl Gelinas baffled the Rockland Boulders (18-23), striking out eight batters. Gelinas allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks over seven innings.
Keith Brachold had a hot bat for the Rockland Boulders. Brachold went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.
TJ Stanton improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Quebec Capitales. Stanton struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.
Bobby Blevins couldn't get it done on the mound for the Rockland Boulders, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
