The Quebec Capitales survive the Rockland Boulders rally, escape with 4-3 victory

Story by Narrative Science.

The Rockland Boulders (18-21) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Quebec Capitales (27-13), and the Rockland Boulders lost 4-3 to the Quebec Capitales after falling behind by three runs in the seventh inning.

The Rockland Boulders scored two runs in the eighth on two errors. Despite their efforts, the Rockland Boulders couldn't get over the hump.

Steve Brown led the Quebec Capitales' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.

The Quebec Capitales got the win thanks in large part to Jeff Duda's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Duda allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks over six innings.

Despite the loss, the Rockland Boulders' MacKenzie King dominated the Quebec Capitales' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.

King couldn't get it done on the mound for the Rockland Boulders, taking a loss.
