The New Jersey (11-7) built an early lead against the St Paul, scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 3-2 win on Tuesday at Yogi Berra Stadium.

The New Jersey would not relinquish the lead as the St Paul were unable to weather a two-run first inning deficit.

The St Paul scored one run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Jim Rapaport. Unfortunately, the St Paul weren't able to take the lead back.

Steve Fox racked up 10 strikeouts in the the New Jersey win. Fox allowed one earned run, two hits and two walks over six innings.

Chris Odegaard took the loss for the St Paul. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
