Early lead not enough for the Worcester, drop 8-4 decision to the New Jersey

The Worcester (6-8) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of an 8-4 ballgame against the New Jersey (9-6) on Sunday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

A groundout by Gaetano Giunta gave the New Jersey the lead in the fourth inning.

Roberto Ramos racked up three RBIs on two hits for the New Jersey. He tripled in the fourth inning.

Isaac Pavlik recorded his third win of the year for the New Jersey. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out seven, walked two and surrendered eight hits.

Kevin Cooper couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Worcester, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
