The Gary SouthShore RailCats fend off the Laredo Lemurs' late push, hold on 5-3

The Laredo Lemurs (54-46) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Gary SouthShore RailCats (50-50), and the Laredo Lemurs lost 5-3 to the Gary SouthShore RailCats after falling behind by four runs in the fourth inning.

The Laredo Lemurs scored on a hit by pitch in the fifth inning and a two-run home run by Uriak Marquez in the sixth inning. Unfortunately, the Laredo Lemurs weren't able to take the lead back.

The Gary SouthShore RailCats were led by a flawless day at the dish by Adam Klein, who went 4-4 against the Laredo Lemurs' pitching. He singled in the first, second, fourth, and seventh innings.

Stephen Hiscock racked up six strikeouts in the the Gary SouthShore RailCats win. Hiscock allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings.

Marquez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Laredo Lemurs.

Gabriel Zavala (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
