The Laredo Lemurs' late runs seal 8-2 blowout over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks

The Laredo Lemurs (52-45) blew out the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (63-34) 8-2 on Friday at Newman Outdoor Field after pouring on five runs in the seventh inning.

Stephen Douglas helped the Laredo Lemurs take the lead for good in the seventh inning. With the score tied at one in the seventh inning, Douglas came to the plate and reached on an error.

Douglas led the Laredo Lemurs' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Brian Peterson racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Laredo Lemurs. He singled in the second, sixth, and seventh innings.

Osvaldo Rodriguez struck out six hitters en route to the the Laredo Lemurs win. Rodriguez allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks over six innings.

Joe Harris ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
