Both the Lincoln Saltdogs (39-54) and the Newark Bears put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Lincoln Saltdogs that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 9-5 win at Bears_Eagles Riverfront Stadium.
Jimmy Rohan racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Lincoln Saltdogs. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the fourth innings.
Pete Parise brought the heat against the Newark Bears during his outing. Parise held the Newark Bears hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Dan Coury racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Newark Bears. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Tony Butler recorded his second win of the year for the Lincoln Saltdogs. He allowed three runs over five innings. Butler struck out three, walked three and gave up eight hits.
Greg Lane took the loss for the Newark Bears. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked none and struck out none.
