The Laredo Lemurs cruise past the El Paso Diablos, 15-1

The El Paso Diablos (44-44) had a tough outing on Friday, as the Laredo Lemurs (47-43) dominated in a 15-1 win in seven innings at Uni-Trade Stadium.

The Laredo Lemurs scored seven runs in the sixth on a hit by pitch, a solo home run by Kyle Nichols, an RBI single by Stephen Pearson, a hit by pitch, , a sacrifice fly by Stephen Douglas, and a three-run error.

Uriak Marquez went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Laredo Lemurs. He singled in the second and third innings and homered in the fifth inning.

Matt Way picked up the win for the Laredo Lemurs. Way pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out three.

Luis Chirinos (4-2) took the loss for the El Paso Diablos. He allowed eight runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out five.
