A great effort by Kyle Ruwe spurred the St Paul Saints (43-38) to a 5-1 win over the Gary SouthShore RailCats (39-43) on Monday at Midway Stadium.

The St Paul Saints relied on Ruwe to eat up innings en route to the win. Ruwe pitched nine innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out six.

Jim Rapoport racked up two RBIs on two hits for the St Paul Saints. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Will Krout (3-5) took the loss for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
