The Kansas City T-Bones take out the Rockland Boulders with help from Goodwin, 10-7

Devin Goodwin hit two home runs, sparking the Kansas City T-Bones (41-34) to a 10-7 victory over the Rockland Boulders on Sunday at Provident Bank Park.

He homered in the second and eighth innings.

Steve Kent looked sharp on the mound. The Rockland Boulders managed just two hits off of Kent, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his two innings of work.

Chris Valencia racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Rockland Boulders. He tripled in the fourth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

The Kansas City T-Bones had no answer for Julio Santana, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Santana held the Kansas City T-Bones hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Shaun Garceau got his seventh win for the Kansas City T-Bones despite allowing six runs over five innings. Garceau struck out five, walked one and gave up eight hits.

The Kansas City T-Bones were sparked by Goodwin and Brandon Jones, who teamed up for five hits and seven RBIs.

Gustavo Chacin ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked one and struck out two.
