A walk-off single from Welington Dotel brought home the winning run for the El Paso Diablos (30-36) in a 7-6 victory over the Amarillo Sox (35-36) in 10 innings at Cohen Stadium on Sunday.
Dotel had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third and seventh innings and singled in the tenth inning.
Justin Harper got the win, running his season record to 2-1. Harper struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.
Derek Christensen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
The El Paso Diablos were sparked by Dotel and Zane Chavez, who teamed up for six hits and three RBIs.
