The Gary SouthShore RailCats (27-34) beat the New Jersey Jackals 3-0 in seven innings on Saturday at Yogi Berra Stadium behind Mike Massaro, who went 2-3.

The New Jersey Jackals had no answer for Jon Gulbransen, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The New Jersey Jackals managed just two hits off of the the Gary SouthShore RailCats' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out six during his five innings of work.

Despite the loss, the New Jersey Jackals' Dustin Birosak dominated the Gary SouthShore RailCats' batters, giving up three runs and striking out five.

Birosak ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss.
