The El Paso Diablos offense too much for the Laredo Lemurs in 22-7 rout

The El Paso Diablos (16-29) shut the door early on the Laredo Lemurs (20-25), capturing a 22-7 victory on Wednesday at Cohen Stadium.

Eleven runs in the first three innings allowed the El Paso Diablos to put the game away early.

A sacrifice fly by Nelson Teilon and an error in the first inning and an RBI single by JJ Muse, an RBI single by Maikol Gonzalez, an RBI single by Mitch Einertson, an RBI single by Einertson, an RBI single by Welington Dotel, an RBI single by Teilon, an error, an RBI single by Scott Clement, and an RBI single by Muse during the second inning supplied the early offense for the El Paso Diablos.

The Laredo Lemurs couldn't slow down Dotel, who paced the El Paso Diablos with five hits.

Palmer Karr Jr. racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Laredo Lemurs. He singled in the sixth innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Scott Hodsdon recorded his fourth win of the year for the El Paso Diablos. He allowed three runs over six innings. Hodsdon struck out seven, walked none and gave up eight hits.

Garrett Sherrill ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.

The El Paso Diablos hammered the Laredo Lemurs pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 20 hits, 15 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
