The Worcester Tornadoes survive the Grand Prairie AirHogs rally, escape with 7-6 victory

The Grand Prairie AirHogs (24-13) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Worcester Tornadoes on Monday, as the Grand Prairie AirHogs fell 7-6 at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto after falling behind by five runs in the fifth inning.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs scored four runs in the seventh on three singles. Still, the Grand Prairie AirHogs couldn't draw even.

Nick Salotti racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Worcester Tornadoes. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Brian Myrow reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the first inning.

Phil Negus got the win for the Worcester Tornadoes. He allowed four runs over six innings. Negus struck out four, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Nick DeBarr couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Grand Prairie AirHogs, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out three.
