Things looked bleak for the Kansas City T-Bones (20-17) when they trailed by six runs in the third inning, but the Kansas City T-Bones recovered thanks to a key single in the eleventh inning from Ray Sadler to pull out a 7-6 win in 11 innings over the Gary SouthShore RailCats (15-21) at U.S. Steel Yard.

With the score tied at six in the eleventh inning, Sadler came to the plate and singled, scoring Jose O. Duran.

Sadler racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Kansas City T-Bones. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the eleventh innings.

Mike Mehlich improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Kansas City T-Bones. Mehlich struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.

Nolan Nicholson was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
