Kyle Carr was cold coming off the bench, but Carr warmed up quickly as Carr stroked a key pinch-hit single in the eight to lead the St Paul Saints (17-16) to a 4-2 win over the Sioux Falls Pheasants (18-16) on Saturday at Midway Stadium.

With the St Paul Saints trailing by one in the eighth inning, Carr came to the plate and singled.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants had the lead early, but couldn't hold off the St Paul Saints. The Sioux Falls Pheasants were ahead until the eighth inning, but the St Paul Saints would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on a two-run home run by Dustin Klabunde.

Adam Frost racked up two RBIs on three hits for the St Paul Saints. He singled in the first and third innings.

Alberto Rolon pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out five.

Klabunde recorded his first win of the year for the St Paul Saints. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Peter Gehle was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
