Francisco Carabello collected three hits, sparking the New Jersey to a 5-1 victory over the Wichita (27-9) on Monday at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and homered in the ninth inning.Kyle Greenwalt racked up seven strikeouts in the the New Jersey win. Greenwalt allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk over five innings.
Jared McDonald reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.
Matt Nevarez looked sharp on the mound. Nevarez held the New Jersey hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
