Amanda Kamekona knocked in three runs, helping the Carolina Diamonds (14-17) to a 7-4 victory over the Akron Racers (13-19) on Sunday at Firestone Stadium.

The Akron Racers had no answer for Katie Burkhart, who kept runners off the basepaths in her appearance. Burkhart gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during her five innings of work.

Kelley Montalvo racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Akron Racers. She homered in the second inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Hillary Bach couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Akron Racers, taking a loss. She lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
