Redman leads the Bridgeport Bluefish to 9-5 win over the Somerset Patriots

Prentice Redman hit two home runs to carry the Bridgeport Bluefish (67-72) to a 9-5 win over the Somerset Patriots (65-74) at TD Bank Ballpark.

Colin Curtis racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Somerset Patriots. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Chase Wright brought the heat against the Bridgeport Bluefish during his outing. Wright held the Bridgeport Bluefish hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Matt Pike improved to 4-9 on the year by picking up the win for the Bridgeport Bluefish. He allowed one run over four innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered four hits.

Adam Champion ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.
