An exceptional effort by Scott Kazmir spurred the Sugar Land Skeeters (53-64) to a 6-1 win over the Bridgeport Bluefish on Wednesday at Constellation Field, Sugar Land.

The Bridgeport Bluefish (53-62) had no answer for Kazmir, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Bridgeport Bluefish managed just two hits off of the the Sugar Land Skeeters' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out three during his eight innings of work.
