Five first-inning runs helped the Lancaster Barnstormers (57-34) to a 12-7 win over the Somerset Patriots (45-47) at Clipper Magazine on Friday.

Kody Kirkland racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.

Yunesky Sanchez racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Somerset Patriots. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the first and ninth innings.

Even though J.D. Durbin allowed five runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his seventh of the season. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Sean Green (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked one and struck out one.
