Extra-inning thriller favors the Long Island Ducks, 10-7 winners over the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs

The game between the Long Island Ducks (45-41) and the Long Island Ducks went into extra innings, but when the last out was recorded the Long Island Ducks emerged with a 10-7 victory.

With the Long Island Ducks trailing by one in the ninth inning, Dan Lyons came to the plate and singled, scoring Bryant Nelson.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

Brandon Sing put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Long Island Ducks. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Jeremy Hill pitched lights out for the Long Island Ducks. Hill gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Jim Ed Warden ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his seventh loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
