The Somerset Patriots need walk-off double to beat the Long Island Ducks, 3-2

A walk-off double from Freddie Bynum brought home the winning run for the Somerset Patriots (28-29) in a 3-2 victory over the Long Island Ducks (32-24) in 13 innings at TD Bank Ballpark on Monday.

Bynum had a hot bat for the Somerset Patriots. Bynum went 2-6 and drove in one. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the thirteenth inning.

The Long Island Ducks couldn't get anything going as long as Josh Rupe was on the mound. The Long Island Ducks managed just one hit off of Rupe, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Jason Monti (5-3) took the loss for the Long Island Ducks. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
