The Lancaster Barnstormers (25-17) needed 10 innings on Saturday to take down the Bridgeport Bluefish (19-23) 6-4 at Harbor Yard.
With the score tied at four, Blake Gailen came to the plate and homered.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the tenth, with five lead changes.
Gailen had two extra-base hits for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He singled in the sixth inning, doubled in the eighth inning, and homered in the tenth inning.
The Bridgeport Bluefish couldn't get anything going as long as Dwayne Pollok was on the mound. Pollok held the Bridgeport Bluefish hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five.
Tim Hamulack got the win, running his season record to 1-1. Hamulack struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.
Kyle Zaleski ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
Gailen, Adam Godwin and Jaime Pedroza helped lead the Lancaster Barnstormers. They combined for nine hits and four RBIs.
