Tony Serino collected three hits as the North Shore Navigators (27-19) took home a 5-1 victory over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (24-21) at Fraser Field on Sunday.
He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.The North Shore Navigators relied on Joe Gruntkosky to eat up innings en route to the win. Gruntkosky allowed no earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.
Kyle Brenner brought the heat against the North Shore Navigators during his outing. Brenner held the North Shore Navigators hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
Ryan Brockett (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
