The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (15-19) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 8-3 to the Torrington Titans (19-15) on Wednesday.

While the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide led until the fifth inning, the Torrington Titans worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Rich Graef.

Kyle Murphy was hot from the plate for the Torrington Titans. Murphy went 2-2 and scored two runs. He singled in the second and fifth innings.

Austin Bailey looked sharp on the mound. Bailey held the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Saige Jenco led the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the fifth inning.

Grant Wessel got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Wessel struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Christian Ferlan couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
