The North Shore Navigators (27-19) outlasted the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (7-39) on Thursday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 10-5 win at Fraser Field.
Brad Elwood had a hot bat for the North Shore Navigators. Elwood went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He tripled in the sixth inning and singled in the second and eighth innings.
The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' lineup had no answer for Corey Stump. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs managed just one hit off of Stump, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his 3 1/3 innings of work.
Connor Ortolf (0-7) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
