An impressive effort by Josh Desai carried the North Shore Navigators (3-1) to a 7-0 win over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (0-4) on Sunday at Doyle Field.
Desai held the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs scoreless for eight innings. Desai struck out six and allowed no walks and three hits.
The offense exploded for the the North Shore Navigators in the second. In the inning the North Shore Navigators scored four runs.
Connor Ortolf ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out three.
