Campbell Cooper drove in the winning run to give the Melville Millionaires (22-19) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Melville Millionaires hung on to beat the Weyburn Beavers (17-21) 6-5 on Monday.

With the score tied at four in the eighth inning, Cooper came to the plate and homered, scoring Chris Burk.

Cooper racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Melville Millionaires. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

The Melville Millionaires staved off the Weyburn Beavers as the Weyburn Beavers were unable to match the Melville Millionaires down the stretch.

The Weyburn Beavers scored one run in the ninth on an RBI double by Derek Wallace. Unfortunately, the Weyburn Beavers weren't able to take the lead back.

Nathan Kirby improved to 4-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Melville Millionaires. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Stuart Springer ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
