The Lethbridge Bulls defeat the Edmonton Prospects after late game single, 9-5

The Lethbridge Bulls (22-16) and the Edmonton Prospects (6-32) passed the lead back and forth four times on Saturday at Spitz Stadium, but in the end the Lethbridge Bulls pulled out a 9-5 win over the Edmonton Prospects.

Ridge Gonsoulin had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fifth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

The Edmonton Prospects had no answer for Austin Church, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Edmonton Prospects managed just two hits off of the the Lethbridge Bulls' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out six during his three innings of work.

Jamie Mitchell got on base four times in the game for the Edmonton Prospects. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first, fourth, and ninth innings.

Aubrey Dezarn couldn't get it done on the mound for the Edmonton Prospects, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed three runs.

Jeremie Fagnan, Gonsoulin and Jesse Sawyer helped lead the Lethbridge Bulls. They combined for four hits and five RBIs.
