The Melville Millionaires takes advantage of late error to beat the Yorkton Cardinals, 5-4

A walk-off error from Garrett Killgore brought home the winning run for the Melville Millionaires (20-18) in a 5-4 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals (12-27) at Pirie Field on Friday.

Killgore paced the Melville Millionaires at the plate. Killgore went 3-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first, sixth, and seventh innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Melville Millionaires' Campbell Cooper. Cooper went 3-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and sixth innings.

Parker Thomas handled the Yorkton Cardinals' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Thomas allowed two earned runs, six hits and no walks over six innings.

Dustin Emmons recorded his first win of the year for the Melville Millionaires. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Gabe Cook was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
