The Edmonton Prospects (6-20) didn't have a chance on Thursday, as the Okotoks Dawgs (19-7) won in blowout fashion, 9-3 at Seaman Stadium.

The Okotoks Dawgs scored two runs in the eighth on a two-run single by Jordan Procyshen and a two-run single by Procyshen.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with five lead changes.

Jerod Bartnik racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

Matt Thornton had an impressive outing against the Edmonton Prospects' lineup. Thornton held the Edmonton Prospects hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Ryan Rogers recorded his third win of the year for the Okotoks Dawgs. He allowed two runs over six innings. Rogers struck out three, walked two and gave up six hits.

Cashtyn DeLeeuw ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked four and struck out four.
