The Okotoks Dawgs (15-7) pounded the Lethbridge Bulls (13-11) on Monday 10-1 at Seaman Stadium.
A three-run home run by Jerod Bartnik and an RBI single by Andrew Nist helped the Okotoks Dawgs score four runs in the first. The Okotoks Dawgs had five hits in the inning.
Austin Voros did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Okotoks Dawgs, reaching base four times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Bret Derooy struck out eight, paving the way for a the Okotoks Dawgs win. Derooy allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk over 6 2/3 innings.
Chris Walker ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.
