Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Medicine Hat Mavericks (16-7) and the Weyburn Beavers (8-16), as the two teams put up 28 runs combined in a 18-10 the Medicine Hat Mavericks win.

The two teams combined for 26 hits in the game.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks stamped out any hope for the Weyburn Beavers with seven runs in the seventh.

Joel Lutz racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He homered in the fourth inning, singled in the first and fourth innings, and doubled in the seventh inning.

Austin Park brought the heat against the Weyburn Beavers during his outing. Park held the Weyburn Beavers hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Even though Colton Rudd allowed seven runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered seven hits.

Phil Curtis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked two and struck out two.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks easily handled the Weyburn Beavers pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, 16 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
