A seven-run explosion in the fifth inning carried the Melville Millionaires (20-18) to a 9-2 win over the Yorkton Cardinals (12-27) at Pirie Field on Monday.

Sebastian Wong had a hot bat for the Melville Millionaires. Wong went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first, fifth, and sixth innings.

The Yorkton Cardinals couldn't get anything going as long as Sheldon O Dell was on the mound. The Yorkton Cardinals managed just two hits off of the the Melville Millionaires' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Parker Thomas improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Melville Millionaires. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked five and surrendered four hits.

Max Chadsey couldn't get it done on the bump for the Yorkton Cardinals, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out three.
