Daniel Jones brought home the winning run to give the Regina Red Sox (4-0) the lead in the ninth inning, as the Regina Red Sox hung on to beat the Yorkton Cardinals (1-1) 2-1 on Saturday.

With the score tied at one, Jones came to the plate and singled, scoring Chris Untereiner.

Ryne Drummonds baffled the Yorkton Cardinals, striking out six batters. Drummonds allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks over seven innings.

Jesus Del Rosario recorded his first win of the year for the Regina Red Sox. Del Rosario struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Michael McCue couldn't get it done on the mound for the Yorkton Cardinals, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
