The Yorkton Cardinals (12-27) outlasted the Melville Millionaires (20-18) on Friday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 7-5 win at Pirie Field.

The Yorkton Cardinals held off the Melville Millionaires, as the Melville Millionaires were unable to overcome a three-run ninth inning deficit.

The Melville Millionaires scored one run in the ninth on an RBI double by John Clark. Despite their efforts, the Melville Millionaires couldn't get over the hump.

Mike Perry racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Yorkton Cardinals. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Bryce Manning improved to 1-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Yorkton Cardinals. Manning struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Nathan Kirby couldn't get it done on the bump for the Melville Millionaires, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
