Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Hannibal Cavemen (27-24) outscored the Springfield Sliders (21-30) 11-10.

The two teams combined for 30 hits in the game.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

The Hannibal Cavemen held off the Springfield Sliders, as the Springfield Sliders were unable to overcome a four-run ninth inning deficit.

The Springfield Sliders scored three runs in the ninth on three singles. Unfortunately, the Springfield Sliders weren't able to take the lead back.

Tyler Watson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over one inning. Watson struck out two, walked two and gave up one hit.

Dalton Cox couldn't get it done on the bump for the Springfield Sliders, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.

The Hannibal Cavemen were sparked by Kris Goodman and Zach Nichols, who teamed up for nine hits and six RBIs.
