The Lorain County Ironmen (11-29) were unable to fight back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Butler Blue Sox (26-14), and the Lorain County Ironmen lost 5-4 to the Butler Blue Sox after falling behind by three runs in the fifth inning.

The Lorain County Ironmen scored on an error in the seventh inning and a sacrifice fly by Ryan Wonders in the ninth inning. Still, the Lorain County Ironmen couldn't catch the Butler Blue Sox.

Kyle Petty racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Butler Blue Sox. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the fifth inning.

Cody Koch had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second inning.

Joey Hoelzel improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Butler Blue Sox. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Michael Burke ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
