Alexander Sroka held the Chillicothe Paints (14-10) scoreless for six innings to boost the Richmond RiverRats (13-11) to a 7-4 victory.

Sroka allowed five hits, two walks and struck out five.

Jake Welch was solid at the plate for the Richmond RiverRats. Welch went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the third innings and singled in the fifth inning.

Brad Goldberg was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out five.
