Patrick Biondi went 2-3, sparking the Cotuit Kettleers (16-12) to a 2-1 victory over the Chatham Anglers (15-14) on Friday at Lowell Park.
He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fifth inning.Dan Slania looked sharp on the mound. Slania held the Chatham Anglers hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
A bright spot for the Chatham Anglers in the defeat was Michael Wagner, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.
Ryan Connolly improved to 4-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Cotuit Kettleers. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered two hits.
Wagner was charged with his second loss of the year.
