The Cotuit Kettleers (5-6) had a tough outing on Wednesday, as the Falmouth Commodores (6-5) dominated in a 9-2 win at Lowell Park.
The Falmouth Commodores scored two runs in the seventh on an RBI single by Jake Rodriguez and an RBI single by Jonathan McGibbon.
Rodriguez racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Falmouth Commodores.
The Cotuit Kettleers had no answer for Johnny Magliozzi, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Magliozzi held the Cotuit Kettleers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Trey Masek got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered five hits.
TJ Pecoraro (0-1) took the loss for the Cotuit Kettleers. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
